Spoken English and Communicative Skills  
 

In today's day and age, having solid English skills is a must. It's becoming the language of the world.but still today most of the rural students dont able to speak in english they dont have communicative skills.in this regard to solve this problem SERD  conducting free SPOKEN ENGLISH AND COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS for rural students. 


At kalyandurg two batches conducted this programme and benifited about 100 rural students and they got job getting skills.

 
                                           
 
Computer Training Center
 

To work in almost any setting, need to have at least basic knowledge of how to use a computer. Employers in certain environments, such as offices, expect you to have these types of essential skills because they help you to be better able to complete important tasks such as creating reports, putting together spreadsheets or drafting letters.but lack of computer skills rural students are not competeting with urban students in job markert. in this situation this Computer training programme will help to improve the skills to get a job in any sector.

SERD present mobilising donations to start this programme for the benifit of rural students this will be started  very soon.

NEED OF THE PROECT :

The computer training programme is useful to poor youth for employment sources. The center setup area will cover heavy rural population. It will help most of the poor rural candidates. The organization working area is highest drought hit condition after jai salmer, this is second highest drought hit area in India.Youth form rural areas that are in need of some basic skill to become productive and creative.,80% of the Youth of the targeted Community to become productive as well as creative. In this condition Society for Education and Rural Development has identified 210 Villages to give computer training and set a career in computers. After the training the youth would earn Rs.10, 000/= per month to become self-sufficient.

OBJECTIVES OF THIS PROJECT :

  •   To provide computer literacy in software and hardware to targeted community youth in identified villages.
  •   To train needy youth to become skilled, productive and creative in computer related jobs.
  •   To Raise awareness of the community as a whole.
  •   To Train youth youth would develop the habit of savings and become self-reliant.
  •   To Train the youth would earn Rs.10, 000/= per month to become self-sufficient.

PROJECT STRATEGY :

  • The following methodology has been devised to achieve the above described objectives with the following activities:
  •  A computer training center would be started at kalyandurgam town.
  •  Unemployed youth would be trained in Computer literacy and basic hardware.
  •  Will be provided quality education and practical orientation under a qualified training instructor.
  •  Student would be provided training stipend to continue their computer education without drop-out.
  •  Course duration will be 45 days, 80 candidates will be trained in every course duration, 80 candidates will be divided in 4 batches, and    each    batch will  consist 20 candidates.  32 batches will be passed out and every year and totally 640 candidates will be benefited.
  •  
  • 20 candidates per batch (Daily four batches) 20 x 4 =80.
  • Course Duration 45 days (four batches will be passed out every 45 days).
  • Total 32 batches will be passed out every year (4x8 = 32).
  • Total 640 candidates will be benefited per year (32x20 = 640).

Computer project is aimed to literate 640 youth and students. Computer literacy is needed to sharpen and enhance their literacy and interest. These students lack access to computer education for reasons like - they are from rural areas and it is not affordable for them to pay for the fees and buy course materials.

PROJECT OUTCOMES :

  • This programme will provide employment sources for 640 identified unemployed youth every year in ananthapuram district.
  • The trained youth would become skilled, productive and creative in computer related jobs.
  • The targeted youth would have raise awareness of the community as a whole, including the male members, on the constitutional and legal rights of girls    to education and to development.
  • The potential of adolescent girls and boys would contribute to the development of the community they belong to.
  • The trained youth would develop the habit of savings and become self-reliant.
  •  After the training the youth would earn Rs.10, 000/= per month to become self-sufficient.

 MONITORING REPORTING & EVALUATION :

This computer literacy project would be monitored by the Executive committee of   SERD Concurrent evaluation would be done on monthly basis however   an annual evaluation will be done the external agency with the support of SERD 

EMPLOYEES OF THE PROJECT:

The project will require one instructor and one attainder cum sweeper along with these two members the project will be monitored by the Executive committee of the SERD.
